Week 3 EOC: Making Money for Good

There is only one thing I can think of in terms of making money for good, Tough Mudder. Tough Mudder is a grueling 10- 12 mile run through different obstacles. Each obstacle is designed by the British Armed Forces to test your strength, stamina, mental grit and camaraderie. The Tough Mudder event proceeds go towards the Wounded Warrior Project. A worthy cause in my book and my dad’s book as well, since he ran in Tough Mudder with his buddies. The only thing I told him was to not die.
The creators of Tough Mudders felt that running a marathon was boring. I agree with them all you do in a marathon is run anyway why not do it, through mud, ice, freezing water and 10,000 volts of electricity. That’s right they do that in Tough Mudder and my dad can personally say that shocked by 10,000 volts is like being hit with a 2x4. Tough Mudder is not something to be taken lightly. It is a serious event that if you are not ready for, you will get hurt.
Tough Mudder can be fun as long as you have friends with you to share in the pain. Though remember no mudder left behind so help your fellow teammate. Once you complete the Tough Mudder challenge you will get an orange head band, a strong sense of accomplishment, and a cold glass of beer at the finish line. To date Tough Mudder has raised over 5 million dollars for the Wounded Warrior Project. I hope this great event continues for many more years. Maybe one day I’ll be in good enough shape to do Tough Mudder myself. Now join me in the Tough Mudder pledge.

AS A TOUGH MUDDER I PLEDGE THAT…
- I UNDERSTAND THAT TOUGHMUDDER IS NOT A RACE IT IS A CHALLANGE
- I PUT TEAMWORK AND CAMARADREIE BEFORE MY COURSE TIME
- I DO NOT WHINE – KIDS WHINE
-I HELP MY FELLOW MUDDERS COMPLETE THE COURSE
- I OVERCOME ALL FEARS

Week 1 EOC: Great Customer Service

To tell the truth I can’t remember the last time I had great customer service. For the longest time no one has ever gone above and beyond standard customer service for me. It’s always been they do their job and then you either tip them or not. Then there are the places that do greet you with a smile and that smile feel faked. Those places sometimes gave me the worst customer service I had ever had. I can’t remember the names of many of these places since there are so many to list.
The only place in the world where I have had great customer service is in Bullhead City. This place over the years has treated me like family. The place is called Red Dragon. Red Dragon is a Chinese restaurant that I have frequented since I was very young. The owner Wendy has always greeted me with a warm smile and asked about what was going on with me. This place even on the darkest days of my life has always managed to cheer me up. The food has always tasted good, never once did I have a complaint about it.
Sadly though recently Red Dragon has been sold since the last time I was down there. So the future there is unknown as of now. It’s weird in a way, that in the beginning I was ranting about how I hardly ever had great customer service now the one place I really like going to is going to possibly be closed down. Oh well I wish Wendy and her family all the luck they need in pursuit of what they are after in the future. For me however I need to find another place for great customer service. Now wish me luck in that aspect.
